The Wenzler Family would like to send our condolences to the family of Claire Walter. After a stay at Kettering Hospital, Claire passed this morning with her family around her.
Claire was the first Director at Wenzler Preschool & Learning Center. We would not be who we are in the childcare business if it weren’t for her. A piece of her will always live inside our four walls. There rarely is a day that goes by that you won't hear Ms. Ashley quoting a “Clairism”.
Our dad founded the center in 1989. He visualized it as not only a place for our family to build a dream but also a home-away-from-home for the children of Kettering working parents. He teamed up immediately with Claire Walter, a lifelong family friend, Kettering resident, elementary teacher, and daycare administrator to create one of the finest centers in Montgomery County.
Her unique philosophy about children set Wenzler a notch above the rest. She believed that children should be children while teaching them the social skills crucial to advance in today's world. Claire never settled for anything less than perfection and what is best for the children.
It’s not a stretch when we say Grandma Claire had her hand in raising thousands of children over her career. She has left her handprint on so many hearts.
